MUST JOON

(International)
MUST JOON presents: experimental drawing workshops on Saturday 12th July at Patarei Kultuuritolm.

MUST JOON is about to launch their first book, a compilation of games and experiments played and applied by collective of international students and artists. At Kultuuritolm members of the group Anna Slama, Søren Herschel, Slavomíra Ondrušová and Liisa Kruusmägi will invite people to play and to explore drawing as a tool of exploring the world around us.

MUST JOON in English means black line. Line is what remains after touching paper with a pencil or with any kind of tracing tool on any kind of material. Black is the color that supports different characteristics of line in the most powerful way. Simple black line helps to focus on the nature of line itself. Gesture, spontaneity and its simplicity supports collaborative activity.

MUST JOON is a collective of international artists and students with different backgrounds who began their collaboration at the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2013. By using drawing games and experiments they develop playful, innovative and joyful ways how to spend time together creatively. Besides actual drawings the group creates videos and animations, discovers drawing in space and explores black line as a uniting tool.
